It's Now or Never

It’s Now or Never by Carole Matthews
(2010, Headline Review, 441 pages)

For those of us on the cusp of turning forty, sometimes an indulgent ChickLit is just what we need.  This book centres around twins Annie and Lauren, who at their older sister’s fortieth party, decided they’d like to change things up.  Before they turn forty, they want to live the life they always wanted.

For Annie, that means more than the same-old with her husband who seems to spend all of his spare time fishing.  For Lauren, that means making sure her married lover finally makes true on his promise to leave his wife.

I had hoped this book would last a week.  After all, in these austere times, I want to string out my reading materials, but I couldn’t. I gobbled it up in less than two days.

I’ve read several of Carole Matthews books, and I always enjoy them. This is the first I’ve reviewed for ChickLitChickFans. I hope to review more soon.  They are totally indulgent reads.  Classic ChickLit.
