Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella
(2010, The Dial Press an imprint of Random House)

I confess, I had just moved to a new city and was exhausted from moving and trying to meet new people, when I saw this book prominently displayed in a shop window.  I succumbed and bought it hoping for some chicklit comfort.  A very stupid decision, especially in this time of austerity.

Please don’t waste your money.  This series should have ended after Becky Bloomwood tied the knot, i.e. after the third book in the series.  I’ve read all of the books in the series and they get worse as you progress in the series. This book is awful. Just don’t bother.  Save your money.  Or, if you really feel like a Sophie Kinsella book, buy Cocktails for Three or Twenties Girl by Madeleine Wickham, Kinsella’s real name. These are much more fulfilling than this gibberish.
